There's good news and bad news for Victoria's Secret. The retail chain's annual showcase of holiday-themed lingerie, on CBS, topped broadcast Monday night among adults 18-49 — but, unfortunately, it also dipped below ratings lows from 2015.

At 10 p.m., the annual fashion show averaged a 2.1 rating among adults 18-49 and 6.7 million viewers. The total audience was up a hair from last year, but the demo showing was off by two-tenths of a ratings point. Still, it was enough to top even The Voice for demo bragging rights. The NBC series, which helped its network win the night with a two-hour episode, held with a steady 2.0 rating among adults 18-49.

Elsewhere on the top two nets of the night, NBC aired an original Timeless to a steady 1.2 rating in the key demo. And on CBS, comedy Kevin Can Wait (1.5 adults) was flat before slightly dampened episodes of Man With a Plan and Two Broke Girls — each of which earned a 1.2 rating among adults 18-49.

Holiday specials dominated the rest of the dial. Fox debuted Showtime at the Apollo to a 1.1 rating among adults 18-49 and 3.8 million viewers. And on ABC, The Great Christmas Light Fight returned to slightly better results. It took a 1.3 demo rating in the first hour and a 1.2 rating in the second. (Conviction closed out the night with a 0.8 rating in the key demo.)

Cable competition was not too formidable, as ESPN's telecast of Monday Night Football seems like it shed a third of last week's audience. Early scores give it just a 6.0 overnight rating among metered market households.
