TV Ratings: 'The Voice' Hits Performance Finale Low
Off 21 percent from last year's comparable episode, the NBC show still leads the broadcast nets on the last original Monday of the calendar year.
ESPN's coverage of Monday Night Football saw broadcast net preemptions in Baltimore (NBC) and Detroit (ABC), so Fast National returns are approximate.
That said, The Voice led the night with a 3.3 rating among adults 18-49. Down a tenth of a point from the prior Monday, the episode was down nine-tenths of a point from last December's penultimate episode -- a series low for performance finales. The Sing-Off (2.2 adults) was down two-tenths of a point from its showing last Monday, and NBC led the night with an average 3.0 rating among adults 18-49 and 11.1 million viewers.
How I Met Your Mother (2.7 adults) was off two-tenths of a point from its last original for a season low, while 2 Broke Girls (2.3 adults) dropped four-tenths to tie its series low. Mike & Molly (2.2 adults) improved two-tenths and Mom (1.9 adults) fell by the same measure. Hostages (1.2 adults) was up by a tenth of a point. CBS took a 1.9 rating with adults 18-49 and 6.9 million viewers for the night.
Fox's new episode of Almost Human (1.6 adults) dropped two-tenths of a point for a low. The network, which also aired special Ice Age: A Mammoth Christmas (0.9 adults) averaged a 1.2 rating with adults 18-49 and 3.9 million viewers.
Holiday special repeats Prep & Landing (1.0 adults) led into a new The Great Christmas Light Fight (1.2 adults) on ABC, down two-tenths from last Monday. The network pulled a 1.1 adults rating and 4.4 million viewers for the night.
The CW had repeats of Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer and The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show to the tune of a 0.4 rating among adults 18-49 and 1.1 million viewers.
