It was dancing or hockey on Wednesday night, so which dominated in the ratings?

In a night filled with reruns, it was Fox versus NBC. Fox's So You Think You Can Dance (7.3 million total viewers, 2.6 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic) was relatively steady, slipping 7 percent from last Wednesday's comparable telecast but rising 4 percent from Thursday's top 20.

Over on NBC, the deciding Game 7 of the NHL Stanley Cup Finals between the newly crowned champs Boston Bruins and the Vancouver Canucks looks to top the night, averaging a 3.2 rating in the primetime portion. Final numbers should be in later.

ABC aired a news special Caught in the Act (5.1 million, 1.6) at 10 p.m.
