TV's 3 to See: 'Rookie Blue,' 'Wilfred' and 'Love Bites' on Tonight

THR's Live Feed recommends don't miss TV for Thursday. Set your DVR.

In the vast world that is our TV choices each day, The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed hopes to make your life a bit easier. Each day we’ll curate the top three shows and episodes we think you should tune in to.

For Thursday, our three to see are:

Rookie Blue season premiere, ABC, 10 p.m.

Five young and ambitious rookie cops, led by Missy Peregrym and Gregory Smith, continue to navigate their personal and professional lives when Canadian cop drama Rookie Blue returns for its second season. With more experience under their belts, they're ready to take on the world, but what they don't realize is it's just as difficult not being a rookie than it is being one. In "Butterflies," Andy (Peregrym) is caught in the crossfire during a random shooting at a concert and sets out to find the killer, which causes some conflict with new detective Jo Rosati (Camille Sullivan), who has history with ex-partner Detective Luke Callaghan (Eric Johnson). -- Philiana Ng

Wilfred series premiere, FX, 10 p.m.

Elijah Wood makes his small-screen acting debut in Wilfred, a dark comedy co-starring Jason Gann, who co-created the Australian series on which FX’s adaptation is based. Wood’s Ryan is a depressed attorney who, after a botched suicide attempt, is asked to dog-sit for a beautiful next-door neighbor. Only one problem: the pooch appears to him as an unshaven, surly Australian guy in a cheap dog suit. -- Lesley Goldberg

Love Bites, NBC, 10 p.m.

We know that the heat around this series has been watered down by some of its more public dramas. And we know that viewers are being cautious about getting into the series, because they think it's a summer burn off never to return again. We think you should throw caution to the wind and tune in to this smart, excellently paced show. Plus Community's Ken Jeong guest stars in Thursday's episode. Right? -- Jethro Nededog

Just missed the list:

True Life: I'm No Longer Gay, MTV, 11 p.m.
Suits, series premiere, USA 10 p.m.
Burn Notice, season premiere, USA, 9 p.m.
Futurama, Comedy Central, 10:30 p.m.
Expedition Impossible, series premiere, ABC 9 p.m.
