Universal Television Signs Another '30 Rock' Vet to Overall Deal
Jack Burditt, EP of the outgoing NBC comedy and creator of ABC's "Last Man Standing," follows Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin in inking an agreement with the studio.
Universal Television is staying in business with another key 30 Rock player.
Ahead of the series' Jan. 31 finale, the studio has signed EP Jack Burditt to an overall deal, similar to ones inked with creator Tina Fey and star-producer Alec Baldwin. He's signed on for another two years at Universal, where he'll work to develop new series.

Burditt, whose other writing and producing credits include The New Adventures of Old Christine, I'm With Her, Just Shoot Me! and Frasier, has been with 30 Rock since the pilot -- where he originally served as co-EP. His time at the comedy has brought him two Emmy nominations for writing and three of the series' best comedy wins.
The creator of ABC's Last Man Standing, Burditt took a break from 30 Rock after the Tim Allen vehicle was picked up to series in 2011. He subsequently returned as EP, shortly before he and Fey co-wrote the comedy's second live episode.
