Elliot makes no secret of his disillusionment with society in the video. Says Elliot: “The world itself is just one big hoax.”

Sam Esmail (Comet) wrote the script and will executive produce alongside Anonymous Content's Steve Golin (True Detective), Chad Hamilton (Breakup at a Wedding) and Niels Arden Oplev (Under the Dome). Mr. Robot, which hails from Universal Cable Productions, was fast-tracked through development season. The series is one of two new shows premiering on USA this summer, the other being Complications, from Burn Notice creator Matt Nix.
