'Vampire Diaries': Salvatores Feud Over Elena, Discover Unsettling Truth (Exclusive Video)
In an exclusive scene from this week's episode, Damon and Stefan dance around the topic of their favorite vampire newbie. Plus, why is college on their minds?
Are the Salvatore brothers ready to put their difference aside for the good of Elena?
In a new scene exclusive to The Hollywood Reporter from this week's The Vampire Diaries episode, sure doesn't seem that way.
Now that Damon (Ian Somerhalder) has taken on the role of mentor to Elena (Nina Dobrev), still struggling to adapt to her vampire desires and newfound bloodlust, the elder Salvatore brother is taking every possible moment to rub in Stefan's (Paul Wesley) face -- respectably, of course. Though Stefan reassures he's "over" the fact that Elena fed on Damon; let's be serious, he isn't.
[Warning: Some spoilers ahead.]

"Elena fed on you. I'm always going to be mad at you, but I'm not in a fight," Stefan says, putting air quotes around the word fight.
When Damon brings home a box of vampire hunter Connor's (Todd Williams) many supernatural contraptions specifically looking for a handbook -- and recaps the explosive shenanigans from last week's episode (thanks Damon!) -- he brings up a curious statement about "The Five." That perks Stefan right up.
The unsettling thing about this whole situation? No remains were found at the blast site at the hospital where Connor supposedly "died." Hm.

In true Damon fashion, he tasks Stefan to investigate the Connor situation, because he has to do something much more important. Plus, three words that sum up Damon's mantra on feeding.

The Vampire Diaries airs 8 p.m. Thursdays on The CW.
