'Vampire Diaries': 'Nine Lives of Chloe King' Star Heading to Mystic Falls
Grace Phipps has landed a recurring role on the new season.
The Nine Lives of Chloe King star Grace Phipps is headed to Mystic Falls.
The young actress, who also appeared in last year's Fright Night, will recur as 16-year-old April, The Hollywood Reporter confirms, who has been described as "a natural beauty with an edge." Her first appearance is scheduled for the second episode.
As EW first reported, Phipps' character will have history with Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen). She returns to Mystic Falls after the death of her father and Elena attempts to shield her from the dangerous secrets of the town.
Phipps, best known for playing Amy in ABC Family's Nine Lives, joins previously cast Todd Williams as a vampire hunter in season four.
The Vampire Diaries returns Oct. 11 at 8 p.m. on the CW.
