'Vampire Diaries': Zach Roerig, Kat Graham Tease New Romances, a 'Big Death' and Being Power-Hungry (Videos)
The actors talked to THR about what where their characters are going in the third season.
In pure Vampire Diaries fashion, the third season opened with shocking reveals, heartbreaking phone calls and hair-raising killings. Co-stars Zach Roerig and Kat Graham spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about what's coming up for Matt and Bonnie.
[Warning: Some spoilers up ahead.]
"[Matt] gets to have closure with his dead sister [Vicki], gets to interact with Jeremy -- a little bit of a bromance," Roerig tells THR. "And hopefully Matt will find a new love interest." Later he said, "At the moment, there is no love interest on the horizon for Matt, but I think there will be. Klaus has a sister coming to town, it could be interesting to see where Matt and her might end up."

Speaking specifically to Matt and Jeremy's newfound friendship, he says, "Matt starts to notice some things that are off about Jeremy," which led to Jeremy confessing his visions of dead ex-girlfriends in last week's premiere.
Graham says Jeremy's visions "is definitely a problem" for Bonnie. "That's something Bonnie will have to deal with," she tells THR. "It'll be interesting to see how she reacts to it, if she was mature or act like how I was."

Graham dropped a bomb, when asked what viewers should expect in the new season: "There's a death."
Jokes Graham, "You have to watch every single one in every single minute/second of The Vampire Diaries and sift through all the ads and watch everything to find out. It's a very, very big one."
But Roerig, whose character has been on the sidelines as of late, hinted that Matt will do something shocking: "Matt's going to do something drastic to allow himself to be in a bit of power."
The Vampire Diaries airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. on the CW.
