VH1 has greenlighted a series featuring celebrity stylist June Ambrose that's set to premiere early next year.
The tentatively titled The June Ambrose Project, a half-hour docu-series, will follow Ambrose and her team of assistants as they serve a mix of up-and-coming and established celebrity clients, including actors and musicians, who want to make over their looks and brands.
Each episode will chronicle an image makeover and overall rebranding and also follow Ambrose as she juggles her family life with business.
During her career, Ambrose has worked with the Dave Matthews Band, Sean Combs, Alicia Keys, Kelly Ripa, Kim Cattrall, Jay-Z and Mary J. Blige, among others.
The series marks a move into the world of fashion programming for the cable network.
"June is a true original and a creative force of nature who will offer our viewers an exclusive peek behind the curtain into her world of celeb fashion and branding," said Jeff Olde, executive vp original programming and production at VH1.
The June Ambrose Project is from Ish Entertainment, founded by Michael Hirschorn, former head of programming at VH1. Hirschorn executive produces for Ish along with Wendy Roth, Jeff Schmidt and Brandon Wilson.
VH1 executive producers are Shelly Tatro, Brad Abramson, Danielle Gelfand and Jeff Olde.
