Fox's '24: Live Another Day' Gets Dramatic Movie Trailer Treatment (Video)
The latest footage offers a fuller picture of Jack Bauer's latest mission, which begins on May 5.
Fox has parsed out several teasers for 24: Live Another Day, but now the network has unveiled a full-length movie trailer for the 12-episode revival.
Agent Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) is now in exile, but is still willing to risk his life to thwart an unthinkable terrorist attack that could change the world forever. If anything, this new trailer provides a fuller picture for audiences new and old.
Opening with a cheeky preview disclaimer "restricted to real-time audience members only," Fox takes it one step further by keeping the new footage moving with head of CIA operations Steve Navarro (Benjamin Bratt) on Bauer's tail after he becomes the U.S.' top priority for killing two Russian diplomats.
There's footage of Bauer cuffed and Navarro putting Bauer in his place: "I know how many lives you've saved, how much the country is in your debt. But they're just going to see a man who snapped." There's also a tense confrontation between Bauer and CIA field operative Kate Morgan (Yvonne Strahovski): "I'm trying to prevent an attack [on the president] and you're getting in my way! That was a mistake!"
But it wouldn't be a 24 trailer without some Bauer and Chloe (Mary Lynn Rajskub), which you certainly see more of here. And though it may have seemed like the primary attack was on President Heller (William Devane), as with every government conspiracy, it's far bigger than that. Plus, a brief glimpse of Audrey Raines (Kim Raver).
The trailer ends in a Bauer gem: "You know who I am. Trigger an alarm and I'll blow your head off."
24: Live Another Day premieres on May 5 at 9 p.m. on Fox.
