BBC America's 'Intruders': Watch a Scene From the First Episode (Exclusive)
There is no shortage of mystery in BBC America's mysterious new drama Intruders.
In a nutshell, the eight-episode Intruders — based on a novel by British author Michael Marshall Smith and starring Doctor Who's John Simm and Mira Sorvino — centers on a secret society dedicated to attaining immortality by seeking refuge in the bodies of others.
The Hollywood Reporter exclusively debuts an eerie scene from the series premiere, where a seemingly innocent 9-year-old Madison (Millie Brown) finds herself possessed by another being in the middle of the night.
At the drop of a hat, she switches from terrified horror to pure curiosity as she runs her hand down her face in the mirror after picking up a card with the number "9" on it. What exactly is going on?
Intruders' enigmatic nature is meant to be a window in, and answers to the questions it raises have a prolonged payoff. "Everything is a question, and eventually there are answers," said executive producer Jane Tranter back in July. "You have to be intrigued and wait."
Intruders premieres Saturday at 10 p.m. following Doctor Who on BBC America.
