'The Voice' Recap: Third Day of Blind Auditions Brings a Former Boy Band Member to the Stage
The self-proclaimed "Lady Gaga of China" also tries to impress the coaches.
NBC added a third day to The Voice’s premiere week to give fans an added night of blind auditions. The third night – which, probably not coincidentally, aired at the same time as the premiere of Fox’s The X Factor – brought to the stage a former boy band member and a mother-daughter duo.
The coaches -- Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton—continue to add to their teams, which will total 16 members each by the end of the blind auditions.

Coaches Who Turn Their Chairs: Levine, Aguilera, Green
The 19-year-old pizza maker/dishwasher goes with Levine, who turned his chair almost immediately after he started singing. “You impacted us, you made us feel something really special, by doing very little,” says Levine.

Song: "Glad You Came”
Coaches Who Turn Their Chairs: None
This former boy band member was in Dream Street with Jesse McCartney. He chooses to sing the current hot boy band’s song from The Wanted. However, it’s not enough to get the coaches to turn around. However, the audience does get to see Shelton’s moonwalk.

Coaches Who Turn Their Chairs: Aguilera, Levine
Born in Nigeria, Nelly’s Echo has a beautiful story about coming to the U.S. to avoid persecution. He chooses to be on Aguilera’s team.

This mother-daughter duo is part of a family band back home. The go with the resident country coach because he promises to protect their band in a “savage” industry.
Winner Montage
With 16 contestants required for each team this season, it seems that NBC needed to implement a montage to show some more of the chosen members. In a quick clip, we see that Lisa Scinta and Marissaann join Aguilera’s team, and Loren Allred joins Team Adam.

This extremely confident individual ("In China, I’m Lady Gaga," she says) may be a handful for Green. We’re curious to see what he does with her in the future.
Nicole Nelson
Song: "Hallelujah"
Coaches Who Turn Their Chairs: All four
All four coaches are inspired by this uplifting performer. Levine even gives her a standing ovation, saying “The reason all four us turned around is because it just kept getting better.” Nelson chooses Levine, who turned around his chair first.
