'The Voice' Recap: Two Strong Contenders Are Kicked Off
Adam Levine did not have a good night on Tuesday's live episode of The Voice.
[Warning: Results from Tuesday's show below.]
In one of the most shocking episodes to date, two members of Team Adam were sent home on Tuesday.
America decided that both Sarah Simmons and Judith Hill would not continue on the show. Simmons, a bluesy soul singer with a very unique sound, and Hill, a powerhouse singer who sang backup for Michael Jackson, were strong contenders from the start, so the elimination came as a surprise to many, including their coach.
The elimination episode kicked off with a performance by Sheryl Crow, who sang her new single "Easy" with the help of Team Blake. Other performances included Hill and Team Usher's Michelle Chamuel doing a great rendition of "Sweet Nothing," and remaining male contestants -- Team Blake's The Swon Brothers -- teaming up with Team Shakira's Sasha Allen to sing "Don't You Want To Stay."
The double elimination leaves Levine with just one contestant (Amber Carrington). Both new coaches only have one contestant each, with Shakira bringing Allen and Usher having Chamuel. Blake Shelton sits comfortably with three contestants still on his team: Danielle Bradbery, Holly Tucker and The Swon Brothers.
