'The Walking Dead' Season 3: More New Characters Coming (Video)
The cast and creators tease the upcoming third season in a new behind-the-scenes video.
AMC's The Walking Dead isn't finished adding new characters after the announcement of The Governor and Michonne.
In a new behind-the-scenes video for the upcoming third season, the cast and creators tease an "ominous and gloomy," "bloody" season that's complete with love and more epic zombie kills in a darker, harder, faster and deeper year to come.

"We have the introduction of new characters, some that have been announced and some that have not," Laurie Holden (Andrea) says.
Danai Gurira has been cast as the sword-wielding badass Michonne, who first arrived in the Season 2 finale as a hooded woman who rescues Andrea from certain death. David Morrissey has also been cast as the famed villain The Governor from Robert Kirkman's comic series on which the AMC drama is based.
Adds executive producer Gale Anne Hurd: "Our characters have been looking for a new safe haven after the farm is no more and they come across what we saw in the last shot of Season 2: a prison setting."

Also on the way, according to new series regular Lauren Cohan (Maggie): "Completely changed characters."

"They have never felt safe, but they're not afraid," co-EP/VFX artist Greg Nicotero reveals.
Showrunner Glen Mazzara told THR in March that Tyreese, whom Rick meets at the prison, may be among those popping up next season. "Tyreese could possibly be next. There are some other surprises that could also be next," he said at the time. "We have this treasure trove of material to work from. We've told our farm story. We've told our Rick, Lori, Shane story to an extent. Now it's time to put our characters out on the road and into the world."
"We know they're at the gates of that prison. We know Michonne is in the world. Obviously people know from casting it that The Governor is out there. The prison does equal the governor's story. I think we're getting to the meat of Robert Kirkman's Walking Dead universe," he noted.
Season 3 will return in October. Watch the video below.
