The Writers Guild of America has made its picks for the top TV scribes of this past year. The group announced nominations for the 2015 WGA Awards on Thursday morning, with winners set to be announced during simultaneous ceremonies in New York and Los Angeles on Feb. 14, 2015. (How romantic.)

Leading the pack were several newcomers: HBO's True Detective and Silicon Valley and Amazon freshman Transparent, each of which scored multiple nominations. The Knick and The Affair also earned mentions in the newcomer category. Emmy favorite Fargo seems like an omission, but it turns out FX chose not to submit it after the WGA determined it would not consider it as a miniseries.

Returning series up for the drama award include House of Cards, Mad Men, Game of Thrones and The Good Wife, while comedies in the fray are Orange Is the New Black, Louie and Veep. Previous top series nominees Modern Family, Homeland and Parks and Recreation were all off the list this year, though Modern Family scored two mentions for individual episodes.
