'X Factor' Final Three Do Some Trash Talking (Video)
Melanie Amaro, Chris Rene, and Josh Krajcik explain what winning qualities separate them from each other.
Fox's The X Factor is about to name its inaugural winner and the recipient of a $5 million dollar recording contract. With the pressure on, Melanie Amaro, Chris Rene, and Josh Krajcik think it’s time to throw off the gloves (Yes!) and let the fans know exactly what gives them the winning advantage over each other.
Chris, who calls his performance style “ringing”-- a mix of rapping and singing -- says that he knows his singing voice isn’t as strong as the other two finalists. But, that’s why he’s glad to be on this show.
“If it was a singing competition, I feel like Melanie and Josh will go head-to-head,” Chris says says on The X Factor website. “But this isn’t a singing competition. This is The X Factor and they’re looking for something, and I feel like I’ve got it.”
Meanwhile, the versatile Josh says he knows exactly what he has that the others don’t. “I have more to offer as an artist than Melanie or Chris,” he says. “I’m a songwriter. I can play a mean piano. I can rip serious guitar, and I can sing."
Yet, Melanie says that even though Chris has recovered from substance abuse and Josh has invested years in to following his dream of a music career while raising his daughter, she thinks she has the extra something to take this competition.
“Chris has his story. Josh has his daughter and everything,” she says. “But to me, they still don’t have half of the fight in me that I have,” she says. “They don’t. And that’s just me being honest.”
You know things are getting heated when the acts drop the kumbaya as they head into their last performance episode on Wednesday at 8 p.m. on Fox.
Watch the finalists trash talk each other further in the videos after the page break.
