TV Ratings: 'X Factor' Finale Scores Easy Win for Fox
It was an landslide victory for Fox on Wednesday night, with part one of The X Factor's two-part finale scoring an average of 11 million viewers throughout the 90-minute broadcast.
X Factor scored a 3.3 rating among adults 18-49 and while it remained the highlight of Wednesday night, the finale inches down from last week's 3.4 rating in the same demo. The highly anticipated finale paired the final three contestants with star performers including Avril Lavigne, Alanis Morissette and R. Kelly. For Thursday's results show, 50 Cent, Justin Bieber, Stevie Wonder, Ne-Yo, Pitbull and Leona Lewis are all reported to perform.

Wednesday's broadcast led into freshman comedy I Hate My Teenage Daughter, which rated 2.1 in the key demo with 6 million total viewers.
Holiday specials for Wednesday night included Martina McBride's A Home for the Holidays (4.2 million, 0.8) on CBS and A Michael Buble Christmas rerun (4.4 million, 1.0) on NBC.
ABC ran repeats of The Middle (5.4 million, 1.4), Suburgatory (4.8 million, 1.5), Modern Family (6.4 million, 2.2), Happy Endings (3.9 million 1.4) and Revenge (3.3 million, 0.9). The network placed second with an overall 1.4 rating in the key demo, behind Fox's 3.0.
CBS and NBC trailed with 1.3 and 1.2 respectively, while the CW averaged 0.3 with repeats of Gossip Girl and Gaga By Gaultier.
