'Young and the Restless' Tribute: Jeanne Cooper Remembered (Exclusive Video)
Stephen Nichols, who played the late actress' son for three years on the CBS daytime drama, shares memories of the late actress in an exclusive clip.
The Hollywood Reporter has an exclusive look at "bonus footage" from CBS' The Young and the Restless tribute to the late Jeanne Cooper airing next week.
The daytime soap is planning a special episode Tuesday dedicated to the actress who portrayed Katherine Chancellor for four decades, at 12:30 p.m. ET (11 a.m. PT).
Fellow castmembers and friends including Melody Thomas Scott, Christian Le Blanc, Tracey Bregman, Eric Braeden and The Bold and the Beautiful's John McCook as well as family members such as her son, Corbin Bernsen, recently gathered on the set to film the tribute.
THR has an exclusive clip that was shot for the tribute featuring actor Stephen Nichols, who played Cooper's son Tucker McCall on the show from January 2010 through December 2012. In the clip, Nichols discusses his first day of shooting on the daytime drama, recalling how he connected with his onscreen mother and how she inspired him to rediscover his passion for acting.
Cooper died May 8 of an undisclosed illness at age 84. The Emmy winner played Katherine Chancellor for more than 39 years, making her the show's longest-running castmember.
Also on Tuesday, CBS' The Price Is Right will rerun its Young and the Restless 40th-anniversary show guest-starring Cooper, Lamon Archey, Marco Dapper, Ignacio Serricchio and Redaric Williams, and The Bold and the Beautiful will pay tribute to Cooper with a memorial card airing after Tuesday's episode.
