'Zach Stone': Duo Cast in MTV's Bo Burnham Comedy Pilot (Exclusive)

Zach Stone has a girlfriend -- and a best friend.

Caitlin Gerard has been cast as Bo Burnham’s girlfriend in MTV’s comedy pilot Zach Stone Is Gonna Be Famous. Additionally, Armen Weitzman has joined the mocumentary as Zach’s best friend Greg.

The single-camera comedy pilot, written by comedian Burnham and Dan Lagana, revolves around Zach (Burnham), a recent high school graduate who is opting out of college to pursue the new American Dream: Becoming famous with no particular talent whatsoever. He winds up hiring a camera crew to shadow and film his everyday life.

Gerard, whose credits include The Social Network and The Awakening, will play Amy, Zach’s girlfriend who is heading off to Brown and is almost the girl next door.

Weitzman, who has roles on Greek, Childrens’ Hospital, The Sarah Silverman Program and features No Strings Attached, Role Models and Ocean’s Thirteen, will play Greg, Zach’s nebbish best friend who also edits all of his video footage.

Dave Becky will produce alongside Burnham and Lagana.
