Nominations for the 2011 American Music Awards were announced Tuesday morning. Leading the pack: British chanteuse Adele, with four nominations including artist of the year and favorite album for her latest, 21.

American Music Awards: Red Carpet

Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Lil Wayne, Rihanna, The Band Perry and Taylor Swift each saw three nods while Beyonce, Bruno Mars, Chris Brown, Jason Aldean, Kanye West, LMFAO, Nicki Minaj and Pitbull collected two nominations.

Winners will be determined by online voting. Fans can vote at the Coca-Cola AMA website, amavote.com, as well as AMA.abc.com.
 
The 39th annual AMAs will be broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Sunday, Nov. 20 on ABC. Perry and Pitbull were also announced as performers on the show, which is executive produced by Dick Clark Productions’ Orly Adelson and Larry Klein, AMA producer.
