20th Century Fox TV Adds Current and Comedy VPs to Creative Team
The new execs come over from USA Network and Red Hour Films.
20th Century Fox Television is beefing up its creative ranks with the addition of two new executives. The studio announced Thursday that Reena Singh and Anand Shah have joined in the respective roles of vp current programming and vp comedy development.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Reena to Twentieth Century Fox Television current programming,” said current senior vp Carolyn Cassidy, to whom Singh will report. “She is a smart, thoughtful and outgoing creative executive with great talent relationships. She has already made an impact on her shows and will no doubt help us grow the next generation of innovative hits here at 20th.”
Singh comes to 20th TV after a tenure in the development and current departments at USA Network and Universal Cable Productions, where she worked on the upcoming drama Colony. She got her start at ABC Network News.
As for Shah, he joins from Ben Stiller's Red Hour Films — where he was also a vp in development. He also worked with FilmColony, Unique Features, Paramount Pictures and Creative Artists Agency. He will report to development exec vp Michael Thorn.
“Anand has great taste and encyclopedic knowledge of up-and-coming writers and comedians,” said Thorn. “He has a proven track record of success working with top producers within the creative community making him a fantastic addition to our comedy development team at the studio.”
