49ers vs. Ravens: Super Bowl XLVII Matchup Set
The Feb. 3 matchup in New Orleans has been decided after a Sunday filled with surprises and a close victory.
It'll be Harbaugh vs. Harbaugh, with the Baltimore Ravens facing off against the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII.
In Sunday's early game, the 49ers -- coached by Jim Harbaugh -- claimed their spot in the Feb. 3 matchup by coming from behind and toppling home team Atlanta Falcons by a score of 28-24 in the NFC championship game. Down 17 in the first half, second-year quarterback Colin Kaepernick led his team back to overtake the lead before the 49ers defense stopped a fourth-down play in the waning moments of the game.

Later that evening, the John Harbaugh-coached Ravens stunned the Patriots, winning the AFC championship game and a trip to New Orleans by dominating the second half with a 28-13 victory. It was a rematch of last year's title game, which saw the Patriots squeak out a close win.
Aside from the family connection, both championship games had several similarities. Both victories came with the winning teams scoring 28 and home field not much of a factor, as the 49ers and the Ravens were on the road. Both teams also shut out their opponents in the second half of play.
Even while the Patriots-Ravens game was still going on in the fourth quarter, Twitter exploded with several Super Bowl-centric hashtags such as #HarBowl and #BroBowl.
The Super Bowl will be played in New Orleans' Louisana Superdome, and it will be a rematch of 2011's Thanksgiving game, which marked the first time two brothers went head-to-head as coaches. The Ravens won that matchup, 16-6.
On the entertainment side, Alicia Keys has been set to sing the national anthem with Beyonce taking the stage at halftime. CBS will broadcast the Super Bowl this year.
