A+E Inks TV Distribution Deal with Beyonce's 'Lemonade' Producer Pulse Films
The deal will see A+E become the worldwide distributor of Pulse's format and unscripted TV output.
A+E Networks has signed an international distribution deal with Pulse Films, the growing multidisciplinary studio whose recent features include The Witch and Cannes competition title American Honey, alongside Beyonce's 60-minute Lemonade video.
The partnership — which also incorporates Pulse's wholly-owned banner East Entertainment, led by BAFTA winner Nathan Eastwood — will see A+E become the worldwide distributor of the format and unscripted TV output from Pulse and East.
"At both Pulse and East, we are beginning to create non-fiction programs that are as unforgettable as the wave of extraordinary scripted shows we have all been binge-watching over the last few years — contemporary documentary, formats and blockbuster factual series that the market is now hungry for," Roy Ackerman and Emma Cooper, who head up Pulse's unscripted division, said in a statement. "It is exciting to be working with A+E Networks to get our shows significant U.S. airtime as well as give them international reach through distribution."
The announcement was made Tuesday by Amanda Hill, A+E's chief creative officer, international and Edward Sabin, managing director, Americas & head of commercial operations, international, alongside Pulse Films president Patrick Vien.
