A+E Launching Lifetime in Latin America
Hit U.S. shows such as "Dance Moms" form part of the programming offering.
MEXICO CITY – The A+E Networks channel Lifetime is coming to Latin America.
Slated to bow in July under a joint venture between A+E Latin America and Sony Pictures Television, Lifetime will air nonfiction series, original movies, scripted dramas and unscripted programming, including the Lindsay Lohan starrer Liz & Dick and new seasons of the Eva Longoria-produced Devious Maids.
Among the network's exclusive Latin America premieres are the Queen Latifah starrer Steel Magnolias and Drew Peterson: Untouchable, featuring Rob Lowe.
Lifetime, which targets female audiences, will be distributed by HBO Latin America Group. Eduardo Ruiz, president of A+E Networks Latin America, will serve as general manager of the new channel.
A+E Networks Latin America operates History, A&E, Bio and H2 across the region.
