Aaron Eckhart to Star in 'I, Frankenstein' for Lionsgate

The feature, based on the graphic novel by Kevin Grevioux, is slated for release in 2013.
Aaron Eckhart has been tapped to star in Lionsgate's I, Frankenstein.
Eckhart will play Adam Frankenstein in the film, written by Stuart Beattie (Pirates of the Caribbean, G.I. Joe, 30 Days of Night), who will also direct. I, Frankenstein is based on the graphic novel by Kevin Grevioux, co-creator of Underworld.

The feature, centered on Frankenstein's creature Adam as he finds himself in a centuries-old war between two immortal clans, is slated for release on Feb. 22, 2013 in the U.S.
Lionsgate is set to distribute the film in the U.S., while Lakeshore Entertainment will handle international sales and E1/Hopscotch will distribute in Asutralia.
The CAA-repped Eckhart recently finished filming on The Expatriate and stars in The Rum Diary opposite Johnny Depp.
