ABC Nabs Drama Project from 'Grey's Anatomy's' Shonda Rhimes, Jenna Bans
ABC Studios has sold another Shondaland drama pitch, which revolves around a young, idealistic and recently fired defense lawyer struggling to start his own firm.
ABC has picked up another drama pitch from Shonda Rhimes' Shondaland shingle.
The one-hour project, which hails from ABC Studios, centers on a young, idealistic and recently fired defense lawyer struggles to start his own firm with an eclectic group of lawyer misfits, while starting to realize that he may have been fired from his old job because he got too close to a deadly cover-up.
Jenna Bans (Off the Map, Grey's Anatomy) will serve as a writer and executive producer, with Rhimes and Betsy Beers on board as nonwriting executive producers.
The news comes mere weeks after Rhimes --responsible for Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice and upcoming Scandal on ABC's schedule-- sold another drama project, Gilded Lillys, set at a 1890's luxury hotel.
Rhimes is repped by ICM; Beers is with UTA.
