'Access Hollywood' and Latina Magazine Join Forces on '15 Latinas We Love' TV Special (Exclusive)
"Today" show news anchor and Latina magazine columnist, Natalie Morales, will host the hour-long program premiering in September.
Access Hollywood and Latina Magazine are joining forces to honor today’s most influential Latina celebrities with the hour-long co-branded special, 15 Latinas We Love.
Today show news anchor and Latina Magazine parenting columnist, Natalie Morales, will host the special premiering the weekend of Saturday, Sept. 17 and Sunday, Sept. 18. Check your local listings for the premiere in your area.
"Latinas have long been a force in this country, and such a part of who we are as Americans. It's amazing Latina was able to narrow it down to just 15!" Morales, who was shooting for the special at New York’s Rockefeller Center on Tuesday, tells The Hollywood Reporter exclusively.
"I am honored to be hosting the 15 Latinas We Love special celebrating such an inspiring group of women, each of whom I truly admire,” she continues. “They reflect the power, intelligence and strength of Latinas today."
15 Latinas We Love will feature behind-the-scenes video of the making of the magazine’s anniversary cover, as well as exclusive video and new interviews with the 15 women being honored. Plus, Access Hollywood host Billy Bush will make a cameo appearance.
“As an entertainment news leader, we strongly value and embrace the contributions that Latinas have made to our industry and are proud to be alongside as a partner,” Access Hollywood and Access Hollywood Live executive producer, Rob Silverstein, says of the partnership, which has been in the works for several months.
“The women being honored by Latina magazine have made such significant strides in their careers, not only for Latinas, but for women as a whole,” he adds. “Access Hollywood will continue to champion the hard work and success of these powerful women and look forward to what is to come in the future.”
The program coincides with Latina magazine’s October anniversary edition, which will be available at newsstands on Sept. 13.
“It's exciting enough to be making our television special debut in this, our 15th anniversary year,” says co-president and editorial director of Latina Media Ventures, Galina Espinoza. “But to have done so by partnering with Access Hollywood, the leading entertainment news program, really speaks to the growing influence and importance of our unique audience.”
The 15 women featured in the special will be announced soon after Labor Day. Additionally, both AccessHollywood.com and Latina.com will feature extended interviews and additional content tied to the special.
Access Hollywood is produced by NBC Subsidiary (KNBC-TV), Inc. and distributed by NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution. Latina Magazine and Latina.com are the flagship properties of Latina Media Ventures LLC.
