ACM Awards: Miranda Lambert, Luke Bryan, Maren Morris Among Performers
Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Florida Georgia Line with Backstreet Boys, Lady Antebellum and Little Big Town also will take the stage at the April 2 ceremony.
Miranda Lambert, Luke Bryan and Maren Morris are among the performers set to take the stage at the 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards, airing live April 2 on CBS.
Also among the first group of performers, announced Tuesday, are Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Florida Georgia Line, Lady Antebellum and Little Big Town, all of whom are ACM nominees this year.
In addition, Backstreet Boys will make their debut appearance at the awards show, performing with Florida Georgia Line; BSB is featured on FGL's new single, "God, Your Mama, and Me."
More performers will be announced in the coming weeks.
Keith Urban leads all nominees for the awards with seven nods, including five for his album Ripcord, as well his seventh bid for entertainer of the year and 10th for male vocalist of the year. Just behind him are Lambert and Morris, who have six nominations each, and Florida Georgia Line and Tim McGraw with five apiece.
Bryan and Bentley also are returning to host the show for a second year. The ACMs, produced for TV by Dick Clark Productions, will air from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas at 8 p.m. Sunday, April 2. The official red-carpet preshow will live-stream exclusively on Twitter starting at 3 p.m. PT/6 p.m. ET.
