Tim McGraw took to the stage at Sunday's Academy of Country Music Awards to perform his new single, "Humble and Kind."

Surrounded in the middle of the audience by fans who lit up the venue with handheld lights, the country superstar sang a stripped down version of the heartfelt song to the tune of violins.

A racially diverse group of youths and adults assembled in, including a man dressed in an army uniform, a woman in a hijab and some playing instruments, to join McGraw onstage. At the wrap of his song, he hugged each of the participants who accompanied him for the arrangement.

The performance was the television debut of his new tune, which aired live on CBS from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

The ceremony, produced by Dick Clark Prods., was hosted by Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley.
