Adele, Jimmy Fallon and The Roots Perform "Hello" With Classroom Instruments

Multicolored xylophone, anyone?

Adele, Jimmy Fallon and The Roots went back to elementary-school basics.

On Tuesday night's episode of The Tonight Show, a taped segment that was held from Adele's Monday-night visit to the NBC show aired, showing the singer serenading audiences with her new "Hello" single (off her new album, 25). A backup band, which was comprised of the late-night host and The Roots, played multicolored, elementary-level classroom instruments while she sang to the acoustic melody.

Fallon and the 27-year-old singer were surrounded by the band as she sang the hit single, which recently officially broke *NSYNC's single-week U.S. album-sales record.

During her Monday-night visit to The Tonight Show, Adele performed "Water Under the Bridge" and played a game called "Box of Lies" with Fallon.
