TNT is expanding its business with "The Closer" executive producers Greer Shephard and Michael Robin.

The network is in final negotiations with Warner Horizon TV and the Shephard/Robin Co. for a pilot order to "Truth in Advertising," a drama set in the fast-paced world of advertising.

Written by "Closer" writers/ co-producers Hunt Baldwin and John Coveny, "Advertising" explores the culture of selling (and being sold) through the experiences of the bright, funny, ambitious and crazed young men and women who work at the Rothman, Greene and Mohr advertising agency in Chicago.

Like Shephard and Robin's other hit cable drama, FX's "Nip/Tuck," "Truth" has two central male characters who have to lead their group to success or face their entire unit being fired.

Baldwin, Coveny, Shephard and Robin are executive producing the pilot, with Robin set to direct.

The pickup for "Advertising" comes on the heels of TNT giving the green light to another pilot, the William H. Macy-starring quirky drama "Family Man" (HR 8/3).

The network has another pilot in the running, an untitled Steven Bochco legal drama starring Jane Kaczmarek and Mark-Paul Gosselaar (HR 8/1).

In addition to "Closer," Shephard and Robin have another drama script, "Mrs. America," in contention for a pilot pickup at TNT. It was written by Michelle Ashford.

Baldwin and Coveny are repped by Paradigm and teh Shuman Co.
