AFI Fest sets Halloween programming

'The Hole' is event's first 3D presentation in 32 years

AFI Fest 2009 will offer special Halloween programming at the Mann Chinese 6 Theatres in Hollywood on Oct. 31.

The line-up will consist of Joe Dante's 3D movie "The Hole," Sean Byrne's "The Loved Ones," Ted Kotcheff's "Wake in Fright" and Michael Stephenson's "Best Worst Movie."

"The Hole" will be the first feature presented in 3D at AFI Fest and its predecessor Filmex since Paul Morrisey's "Flesh for Frankenstein" in 1977.

The fest's Oct. 31 schedule also includes Bong Joon-ho's "Mother" and the "Red Riding Trilogy" films from the U.K.

The fest runs from Oct. 30-Nov. 7.
