TORONTO -- Indiecan Entertainment has picked up the Canadian rights to Don Thacker’s hallucinatory genre pic Motivational Growth.

Toronto-based Indiecan plans a multi-platform release in 2014 for the Adrian DiGiovanni-starrer about a depressed and reclusive man talking after a failed suicide attempt to a growth in his bathroom, voiced by Jeffrey Combs.

The deal was negotiated by Indiecan's Avi Federgreen and Justin McConnell and Circus Road Films CEO Glen Reynolds.

Those negotiations, finalized at AFM, began after Motivational Growth screened at the Toronto After Dark festival.

The film, produced by Imagos Films, marks director Thacker’s feature film debut.
