'On Air With Ryan Seacrest's' Ellen K to Narrate TLC's 'My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding' Series (Exclusive)

The longtime radio host has re-upped with the Los Angeles radio station, extending her contract to 2015 – which will mark her 25th anniversary with the station. She can currently be heard as Ryan Seacrest’s morning show cohort on weekday mornings via On Air With Ryan Seacrest.

“Ellen is a total pro,” said SVP of Programming John Ivey. “She is genuine, honest and compassionate on air and off, making her relatable to the audience and adored by the staff and management alike. We love Ellen and are thrilled she’s extended her commitment to KIIS.”

K began her radio career with a college internship at WXUS in Lafayette, Indiana. She joined the KIIS family in 1990 working with Rick Dees and successfully transitioned over to Team Seacrest in 2004.

In May, K was honored with a star on the coveted Hollywood Walk of Fame.

“It’s not something that I ever thought would ever happen to me,” K told THR of the honor. “It’s kind of like being on a rollercoaster, when the car turns and your body doesn’t. But it’s such a special, amazing, meaningful gift. I’m just kind of speechless and so excited about it.”

Seacrest gushes of his co-host, “I can’t imagine my mornings beginning with anyone else but Ellen K, as she’s the consummate co-host… she is wicked smart, funny and cares about people. She’s amazing in her zeal and professionalism, and I’m excited she’s extending her time at KIIS.”

K was hired earlier this year as narrator of TLC's My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding in the U.S. and U.K. Among her charitable endeavors, she works closely with Children's Hospital of Orange County, the Cancer Research Foundation and Our Journey, an African children's relief fund.
