Akon concert canceled after workers hurt
EmptyATLANTA -- Part of a concert set being built for a show featuring Akon collapsed at Emory University, injuring three workers.
Thursday's concert by the R&B singer was canceled.
The workers, who were part of the crew putting up the outdoor stage, were injured when a canopy collapsed Thursday afternoon, Emory spokeswoman Nancy Seideman said. Seideman didn't know the extent of their injuries.
The workers were taken to local hospitals.
Akon's hits include "Don't Matter," "I Wanna Love You" with Snoop Dogg and "Smack That" with Eminem.
