Alamode Films Nabs German Rights to Berlin Winner 'Nader and Simin'

Memento Films has closed deals for much of Europe for "Nader," including Spain, Austria and Belelux.

COLOGNE, Germany -- Alamode Film has picked up German rights for Berlin Festival Golden Bear winner Nader and Simin, A Separation from Memento Films International.
 
Asghar Farhadi’s Iranian drama also swept the Berlin festival’s acting awards for its ensemble cast. Memento has closed deals for much of Europe for Nader and Simin, including ones for Spain (Golem), Austria (Film Laden) and Belelux (Cineart).
 
Also in Berlin, Alamode acquired Celine Sciamma’s lesbian coming-of-age story Tomboy, which won the Teddy Jury Award, one of Berlin’s GLBT trophies, and the food doc El Bulli: Cooking in Progress
