The actor has signed a three-year deal to continue on the CBS drama.

Alan Cumming has signed a three-year deal to continue on CBS’ The Good Wife, The Hollywood Reporter confirms.

The actor, who joined midway through the first season as a recurring, was promoted to series regular status for Season 2.

Cumming plays Eli Gold, a character in Peter Florrick’s (Chris Noth) corner on the Tuesday night staple, toplined by Julianna Margulies as Lockhart/Gardner associate Alicia. Guest star America Ferrera recently ended a multi-episode arc with Cumming's character.

The new pact means Cumming will remain a regular for the third, fourth and fifth seasons, though CBS has yet to officially renew the solid ratings performer for a Season 3.

He joins actress A.J. Cook, who recently signed a two-year deal to rejoin CBS’ Criminal Minds as a series regular at the beginning of her show’s seventh season.

Cumming is repped by CAA.
