Alan Cumming Returns to Host 2012 Britannia Awards

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles has announced that Alan Cumming will return as host of the 2012 Britannia Awards. The event will mark Cumming's fourth time as host. Among the presenters for this year's show are Steven Spielberg, Harrison Ford and Josh Gad.

The annual Britannia Awards, presented at a gala dinner, celebrates the achievements honoring individuals and companies that have dedicated their careers to advancing entertainment art. Proceeds from the gala ceremony support BAFTA Los Angeles' on-going education, scholarship, community outreach and archival projects.

"I'm so happy to be back hosting my 4th Britannia Awards," said Cumming. "It's 15 years since I first came to Hollywood and what better way to commemorate that than to be hosting a celebration of the best of Britiish and Tinseltown. I'm excited to see old friends and raise a few glasses to the best in our business -- and be a bit mischievous too of course."

The 2012 Britannia Award honorees include BAFTA award-winning actor Daniel Day-Lewis, Daniel Craig, Quentin Tarantino, Trey Parker, Matt Stone and Will Wright on Nov. 7 at the Bevely Hilton Hotel.

BBC America will broadcast the awards show on Nov. 11 at 8 p.m. ET.
