Alan Thicke to Recur on CW's 'The L.A. Complex' (Exclusive)

TORONTO – A group of wannabe stars chasing Hollywood dreams are getting some fitting company on the Canadian soap The L.A. Complex for The CW and MuchMusic north of the border.

Former Growing Pains patriarch Alan Thicke has booked a recurring role on the series from Epitome Pictures.

Thicke boarding The L.A. Complex follows the series receiving a 13-episode order from Canadian broadcaster Bell Media, after an initial six-episode debut, with production to start shortly in Toronto and Los Angeles.

The series’ writers are tight-lipped on the recurring role for Thicke, only saying that his character will be named Donald.

Thicke is represented by Nigel Mikoski at Integral Artists and managed by Larry Thompson Organization in Los Angeles.

The L.A. Complex is executive produced, written and directed by Martin Gero.

The Canadian soap, previously known as Highland Gardens, stars Jonathan Patrick Moore, Joe Dinicol, Andra Fuller, Chelan Simmons, Cassie Steele, Benjamin Charles Watson and Jewel Staite.
