Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu to Receive Zurich Film Festival Career Award

Mexican filmmaker directed Oscar-nominated "Biutiful," "Babel," "Amores perros."

BERLIN - Mexican director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu will receive this year's career achievement award at the Zurich International Film Festival. The helmer of Oscar-nominated Biutiful, Babel, 21 Grams and Amores perros will attend the fest, which runs Sept. 30-Oct.2 and will give an open directors master class on Oct.1. Zurich will also screen a complete retrospective of his work.

Sean Penn, who starred in Inarritu's 21 Grams is also heading to Zurich this year, where he will receive the Golden Icon Award, the festival's highest honor.
