Alex Pettyfer Calls Hollywood 'Socially Disgusting'

Alex Pettyfer is no fan of Los Angeles.

"I wish I had some interesting stories about living in L.A., but mostly I just do my work and then go home," Pettyfer tells VMan magazine. "I think my Wikipedia is full of bullshit because I actually don't have anything cool or interesting to be said about me."

"I think [L.A.] is this insidious pool where nearly everyone lives in fear," he goes on. "Geographically it's fantastic ... but socially it's disgusting."

He calls the city a "shithole" and calls the women who live there c--ts.

He also touches on his reputation for being a bad boy in Hollywood. THR previously reported that tensions ran so high on the I Am Number Four set between Pettyfer and director D.J. Caruso, DreamWorks CEO Stacey Snider was forced to intervene. (DreamWorks and Pettyfer's reps declined comment then.)

"I've heard I've been called a bad boy, or difficult," he admits.  "Maybe that's because I don't take any bulls---."

"Being an actor is like being in prison," he says. "You go, you serve your time, you try and replicate Johnny Depp's career and then you move to Paris."

The British actor reveals he has a tattoo above his pelvis that says "thank you" in case he forgets to thank the women he gets intimate with.
