Alfred Molina, Willem Dafoe Join Gerard Butler in 'Headhunter's Calling'
The project is due to begin shooting in October.
Alfred Molina and Willem Dafoe are joining the cast of The Headhunter’s Calling, a Gerard Butler drama that Voltage is selling at TIFF.
Mark Williams is directing the project, which is due to being shooting October 26 in Toronto.
Butler is playing a ruthless headhunter who is on the verge of achieving his dream, taking over the company he works for, when the sudden illness of his 10-year old son causes his personal and professional life to crash.
Dafoe will play the soon-to-be-retiring CEO of the recruiting company Butler works for. Molina is a lovable, unemployed engineer who is looking for a chance to shine.
Bill DuBuque, who wrote The Judge and the upcoming Ben Affleck movie The Accountant, penned the script.
Williams, Butler and Alan Siegel are producing. DuBuque and Danielle Robinson are exec producing as is Dan Bekerman of ScythiaFilms.
Dafoe is repped by CAA and Circle of Confusion, Molina by WME and Hyler Management.
