Dress du Jour: Alicia Vikander's Little Black Look
The Dress: A strapless black two-piece ensemble by Yigal Azrouel featuring leather detailing at the waist.
The Wearer: Best supporting actress Oscar nominee Alicia Vikander.
The Event: The Hollywood Reporter's 2016 Nominees Night (sponsored by American Airlines, Neiman Marcus, Roberto Coin and Fiji Water) at Spago restaurant in Beverly Hills. The Swedish beauty was part of the crowd of nominees gathered to see Sam Smith perform his own Oscar-nominated song "Writing's on the Wall."
Why We Dig: At this point during awards season, it's not a question of which designer Vikander will wear as she hits the carpet, but rather which Louis Vuitton look she'll step out in. (She is the face of the house, after all.) But after stunning at the Golden Globes in a sophisticated white pleated gown, and glitzing it up for the SAG Awards in a sequined patchwork number, The Danish Girl star switched it up and went sexy in a slinky black two-piece stunner by Yigal Azrouel that she wore with a faux-bob to show off the strapless sweetheart cut. A silver choker necklace and soft rosy lip topped off the chic look.
