All3Media Names Former FremantleMedia U.K. Boss COO
Sara Geater, who previously worked for the BBC and Miramax, joins the U.K. production company jointly owned by Discovery Communications and Liberty Global.
U.K. production firm All3Media, jointly owned by Discovery Communications and Liberty Global, has appointed former FremantleMedia U.K. CEO Sara Geater to the role of COO.
Geater’s career to date has spanned TV, film and digital from both the business and creative perspectives. In 2014, she was elected chair of U.K. trade association PACT council, having stepped down from her role at FremantleMedia after seven years with the company.
Prior to this, Geater held the post of head of commercial affairs at Britain's Channel 4 following a four-year stint as director of rights and business affairs at the BBC.
Geater has also served as head of film and TV at Avalon, head of production at Miramax Films and Channel 4 drama co-production executive.
Jane Turton, CEO of All3Media and its former COO, said: “I am delighted that Sara is joining All3Media as COO. Her experience in television production, talent management, rights and dealmaking is going to be a huge asset to the group as we grow the business both in the U.K. and overseas."
Geater added: “The opportunity to work with Jane Turton and all the companies within the All3Media group, along with the company’s plans for growth, is one not to be missed. I’m delighted to be part of the team.”
