Amanda Bynes Reportedly Placed on Psychiatric Hold
The actress will be hospitalized for at least 72 hours
Amanda Bynes has reportedly been placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold.
Bynes arrived at LAX, and a car service took her to a Pasadena hospital, where doctors placed her on the hold, TMZ reports. Her parents and their attorney, Tamar Arminak, were waiting for the actress at the hospital.
The 5150 psychiatrist hold is good for 72 hours and can be extended for 14 days. Sources told TMZ Bynes' parents will seek a conservatorship of their daughter. Until last month, Bynes was living with her parents under a conservatorship that has expired.
An attorney for Bynes' parents did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Bynes' attorney declined to comment.
