On Monday, a jury overturned her 2009 conviction of sexually assaulting and murdering Meredith Kercher.

Upon her arrival at the Seattle airport Tuesday, the 24-year-old and her family held a press conference, telling reporters she was "overwhelmed."

"I was looking down from the airplane, and it seemed like everything wasn't real," she said, choking back tears. "Thank you to everyone who's believed in me, who's defended me, who's supported my family."

On Tuesday, several followers of the news hit Twitter to crack jokes about Knox, including Joan Rivers.

"Amanda Knox was freed after four years in jail!" she wrote. "But Fashion Police wants her sent back for wearing a hoodie to hear the verdict."

Current TV personality Keith Olbermann also chimed in.

"I know saving Democracy from our Corporate Overlords is important, but was Amanda Knox dressed warmly at her news conference?" he wrote.

Added comedian Doug Benson (VH1's Best Week Ever): "I'd like to take Amanda Knox to a prom or something."
