Amber Tamblyn's Birth Announcement Is Bananas
Feminist humor for the win.
The bar has been set, Beyonce.
Amber Tamblyn announced the birth of her first daughter with husband David Cross on Instagram on Tuesday, infusing the message with a bit of feminist humor. The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants actress, 33, posted a video of the baby's foot wriggling around in a pink blanket with the caption: "David and I are proud to announce the birth of our daughter, Dauphinoise Petunia Brittany Scheherazade Von Funkinstein Mustard Witch RBG Cross Tamblyn-Bey jr. #TheFutureIsFemale."
Tamblyn's rep did not immediately return The Hollywood Reporter's request for comment, though we're pretty sure that the baby's name doesn't actually include a reference to condiments, a Supreme Court justice and Beyonce — but then, again, this is Hollywood.
The actress first revealed she was pregnant in an essay for Glamour magazine last October, in which she spoke of her fears about raising a daughter in the tumultuous political climate. Tamblyn and Cross tied the knot in 2012.
