Tuchman, who has been with the company since 2011, was president of AMC Global and Sundance Channel Global.

AMC Networks said Tuesday that Bruce Tuchman, president of AMC Global and Sundance Channel Global, will leave the company in April, following the MIP TV market in Cannes.

Tuchman has been with the company since 2011 and has been pushing its international expansion, which received a boost from the $1 billion acquisition of Chellomedia in 2014.

"He has been instrumental in developing Sundance Channel into a global brand and successfully transitioning the MGM Channel into AMC Global, positioning the business for future growth," the company said in a statement. "We wish him well in his new endeavors."

Tuchman's position will not be filled. Ed Palluth, executive vp global distribution, and Harold Gronenthal, executive vp, programming & operations, will now report directly to AMC Networks COO Ed Carroll.

The company's regional heads, who have oversight of regional channels abroad, already report directly to Carroll. They are Eduardo Zulueta, head of Latin America & Iberia, and Mike Moriarty, head of U.K. and Central Europe, which also includes responsibility for Africa and the Middle East.

Tuchman has been leading the strategic distribution, programming, business development and marketing of the AMC and Sundance Channel brands internationally. AMC Networks launched AMC globally in 2014 in over 125 countries with the rebranding of the MGM international channel business, which Tuchman previously led.

Sundance Channel Global is currently distributed through linear, on-demand and associated streaming services in more than 70 countries across Europe, Latin America, Asia, North Africa, the Middle East and Canada. Tuchman has also been managing German-language film network Kinowelt TV, which AMC Networks acquired in 2014.

Before joining AMC Networks, Tuchman was president of MGM Worldwide Networks and before that general manager of Nickelodeon Global Network Ventures and senior vp, Nickelodeon New Media Ventures.

Earlier in his career, he served as vp, business affairs and senior counsel, international development for MTV Networks. Tuchman started his career as an M&A attorney with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in New York and London.
