AMC starts up 'Cinemania'

Trivia show airs during breaks in Thursday movie

AMC is launching a game show and movie night dubbed "Cinemania" on Thursdays.

The trivia show, hosted by comedian Regan Burns (Comedy Central's "Halfway Home"), will air during scheduled breaks within the night's featured film and will feature two contestants competing to see who best knows the movie. Viewers at home also can compete for prizes online.

This month, the show will feature special appearances by the stars of two of the featured films: Clint Howard of "Apollo 13" and Bruce Altman of "Matchstick Men."

"Cinemania," which kicks off at 8 p.m. Thursday with "The Birdcage," also will feature the movies "Tomorrow Never Dies," "Star Trek: Nemesis," "Sleeping With the Enemy," "Clear and Present Danger," "Rocky IV," "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" and "The Day the Earth Stood Still."
